Dust Collection

Many industrial processes generate contamination to the air or in the facilities in form of dust and particles. Airborne dust and fine particles can be hazardous to the human health, and it´s important to make sure they are extracted at the source before it reaches the breathing zone. If having dust and particles spread in the facilities proper housekeeping equipment is needed.

Dust and particles are generated in many different ways. Typical sources in woodworking which involves large amounts of sawdust and sanding dust are from cutting, grinding and sanding. Woodworking may also release dust and fibers that are harmful to human lungs and can cause allergic reactions or even worse by penetrating the skin.

There are at least four important types of solutions for handling dust and particles:

  • extraction arms
  • on-tool extraction
  • cleaning applications
  • general air purification

In addition to dust and particles that is hazardous to the human health they can also create explosions. Scroll down to learn more about combustible dust and how to avoid it.

Dust Collection Systems for Combustible Wood Dust

Wood Waste

Efficient management of excess material is necessary for the Production Flow and can make a large economical contribution to your business.

Wood waste can profitably be recycled into new material (i.e. MDF-board) or into energy if used as bio-fuel. Wood dust extraction is an essential service to improve air quality in working and surrounding environments and to enhance product quality. Nederman wood dust collectors are reliable, very efficient and economical.

Well designed and efficient wood waste handling installations have become a major part of the woodworking industry. Nederman, the world leaders in industrial air filtration, are very experienced in all wood based applications, ranging from centralized production plants to small product manufacture and finishing.

Our solutions are used to reduce the impact on the environment from various woodworking processes and contributes to improved production economics and reduced environmental impact of industrial processes.
